Dr Jones is a native of Kansas City , Missouri . He and his family reside in Northern Kentucky .
Dr Jones obtained his medical degree in 1997 from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia Missouri .
In 2003, after completing his internship, residency and fellowship at University of Kentucky Medical Center he began practicing with Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates.
During his internship, residency and fellowship, Dr. Jones received many honors. In 1998, he was named “Outstanding Intern Teacher” and also recieved the “Chief Resident’s Outstanding Intern Award” at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. In 1999 he received the “Resident Research Award” for the University of Kentucky.
He is board certified by the American Board of Gastroenterology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Jones has affiliations with St Elizabeth Healthcare (formerly St Elizabeth Medical Centers and the St Luke Hospitals) and Health South Rehabilitation Hospital .
Dr Jones is a member of many professional societies including American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association
Dr. Jones is involved in research as the Director of Clinical Research for Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates. And he is the Principal Investigator for clinical trials involving Hepatitis C, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
